What we do with your data.
Short version: almost nothing. We don't run ads, we don't have a server, and your calculations live on your phone, not ours.
TL;DR
If you want the long version, read on. We’ve tried to write it like a person, not a legal department.
What we collect
Nothing about you. We don’t ask for your name, email, phone number, or location. There is no Kârly account to create.
The only data the app ever handles is the data you type in yourself — item names, costs, sell prices, commission and VAT overrides, shipping and operational costs. That data is used for one purpose: to calculate the number on your screen.
What we don’t collect
To be specific:
- We do not use AdMob, Meta Audience Network, or any advertising SDK.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or any analytics SDK.
- We do not use Crashlytics or any crash reporting SDK that transmits data off your device.
- We do not have a Kârly backend server. There is nothing for us to log.
- We do not request location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera permissions.
- We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties because we don’t have data to sell.
Where your data lives
Saved calculations (your History), your daily usage counter, and your language preference are stored locally on your device using the platform’s standard preferences store (SharedPreferences on Android). That storage is encrypted at rest by your phone’s operating system.
If you uninstall the app, this data is removed by the operating system. We do not back it up to our servers — because, as mentioned, we don’t have any.
PDF reports you generate are placed in your device’s share sheet for you to send wherever you like. We don’t see them.
Billing & subscriptions
If you subscribe to Kârly Pro, the actual billing is handled by your platform’s app store — Google Play Billing on Android, App Store on iOS (when iOS launches). We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status on the device.
We do not see your card number, billing address, or any payment details. The app store handles all of that. We only receive a “yes/no” entitlement: is this device’s user a Pro subscriber?
Google Play’s, Apple’s, and RevenueCat’s own privacy policies apply to the data they collect to operate billing:
App permissions
Kârly requests no runtime permissions on first launch. The only OS-level capability the app uses is the system share sheet — which is what hands a generated PDF off to whichever email or messaging app you choose to use.
Kids
Kârly is a business tool for adults running a small selling operation. We don’t market it to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone — including children — because we don’t collect data, full stop.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change anything material — for example, if we add a backend (we have no plans to) or introduce any third-party SDK — we will update this page, bump the “Last updated” date at the top, and post a clear notice in the app on the next launch. We won’t sneak it in.
Contact
If you have a question about this policy or want to know exactly what data your device is storing, write to hi@nexutility.com. A real person will answer.
